Rebekah Traficante

Secretary-General

Rebekah Traficante is returning as Secretary-General of NWMUN-Seattle 2017. She previously served as Secretary-General of our 2015 conference. This is her sixth year on staff at NWMUN-Seattle; she previously attended the conference twice as a delegate. Rebekah graduated from the University of Washington in 2012, where she triple majored in Political Science: International Security; Near Eastern Languages & Civilization; and Anthropology.  She also served as President of the UW's Model United Nations team.

Rebekah also has an MBA in Sports Management from the Real Madrid Graduate School in Madrid, Spain. She currently works at Football Beyond Borders in London, United Kingdom, where she both coaches young people in schools but also works on fundraising and events planning for the organization. She hopes to continue this line of work in the field of Sports Diplomacy for the foreseeable future because she feels that it is one of the best ways to engage communities and people in conversation and to develop social change.

Michael Hills

Director-General

Michael Hills has been involved with Northwest Model United Nations since 2012, and is currently serving as Director-General. This is Mike's 6th conference on staff at NWMUN. Mike recently completed his MSc Management from Imperial College in London, England. He is the Controller for McTavish Resource & Management Consultants Ltd and is a project manager for the development of technical training and management programs for various clients. In his free time, Mike enjoys golf, history, cooking, and being terrible at video games.

Stephen Rimbakusumo

Chief of Staff

Stephen Rimbakusumo is excited to be returning to the NWMUN-Seattle Executive Secretariat as Chief of Staff. Stephen has either attended or staffed over 20 MUN conferences since first getting involved in the Spring of 2014. Stephen has many interests, ranging from security issues such as cyber-crime and cyber-terrorism to the history and politics in former Soviet states. Stephen is graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in History, and is currently employed as an engineer at Amazon.com Inc. Outside of MUN and work, Stephen enjoys outdoor activities, the occasional computer game, and learning foreign languages.

Doug Siegel 

Assistant Secretary-General for Logistics 

Doug Siegel is excited to return to the Executive Secretariat of Northwest Model United Nations-Seattle 2017 as Assistant Secretary-General for Logistics. He previously served as ASG-L for NWMUN-Seattle 2015 and 2016, as well as NWMUN-Portland 2016. Doug previously participated as a delegate for three NWMUN conferences before joining the staff. Doug graduated from the University of Washington with a major in Political Science. He currently works for Microsoft in Seattle, where he manages marketing events.

Gillian Lait

Assistant Secretary-General for Conference Services

Gillian Lait is looking forward to joining the Executive Secretariat as the Assistant Secretary-General for Conference Services. She began her NWMUN-Seattle experience as Merchandise Manager last year and is excited to return for a second year. This is Gillian's 7th year involved in Model UN. She started her freshman year of high school, first attending Western Washington University's high school conference, which she later had the opportunity to run as Secretary-General this past spring. Gillian currently is studying Elementary Education at Western, utilizing many of her skills accrued in Model UN. Outside of Model UN, Gillian works at Costco and directs an a cappella group.
